PYRAMID
covering
[open quote]
Attached are pics of pyramids made up from 80mm
equilateral
triangles.
The green is 3 sided plus base, the blue is the classic 4sided.
Both are 2ply using 1.4mm cord and are respectively 900 and 1200 facet
!
Sorry about the distortion to the square base...........I made a card
template and the filled it
with expanded polystyrene.....a la Stefanos...but in expanding it’s
distorted the
former.

The Knot is made on a 10cm high egg, is 594 facets and 3 ply (2 cords
at 1.5mm and 1 cord at 2.5mm). I then “prepared” by painting it with
gilding size. The final operation is applying the gold leaf.....using a
soft flat artist’s brush to pick up the gold leaf, having first brushed
the brush against my hair for static electricity. The easiest part was
the red ribbon bow.

From Jan VOS ( also see

) ABoK #2996 turned into a bracelet !
[open quote]
This is the abok 2996 , a
double edged 8 strand, 24 bights braid,
turned into a bracelet and then doubled.
...
I join the ends of the braid
together to double it.
This is now done with 8 strands, but it
must be possible to reduce it to 4 or two strands.
It has a herringbone look, but then it would need a 25 bights
( and one strand).
I think it is possible to draw it in either
ariane or rknotbuilder, not yet
done.

From John RICHINGS : "further beyond
ABoK#3082 " ( further certainly but IMO
and no less : farther too )

double lines o1 crowning.I used 1.2 mm cord and it costs me many hours
on making it.I had used magnifying glasses to make the star knots and
