For the New Year an ULTRA-LIGHT PIECE: ENLARGEMENT OF A
REGULAR NESTED(-bight) CYLINDRICAL KNOT belonging to the
HERRINGBONE-PINEAPPLE SUB-CLASS ,
to the HERRINGBONE-PINEAPPLE FAMILY
and to the PERFECT HERRINGBONE-PINEAPPLE SUB-FAMILY

Again all this courtesy of Schaake studies and illustrations lade with ARIANE.

Example 1 ----------------------------------------------------
B*= 3         A = 2        Delta = 1       x = 5         Ltotal = 7
enlarged to
B* = 5         A = 2        Delta = 1       x = 9         Ltotal=11
this is a special case as A=2 is the smallest value for A in a RNBCK

We start with this PERFECT Herringbone-Pineapple K which has this cordage route.
The cordage route may be seen as here showing the future emplacement of the enlargement.

The first PERIOD of  Enlargement ONE is done (red) then the second PERIOD is done 'green). The resulting cordage route is this one and IT CANNOT ACCEPT a HERRINGBONE PATTERN so we need an Enlargement TWO .
The result of ENLARGEMENT ONE is shown here "prepared" for the  two PERIODS of the second Enlargement.
The first PERIOD of Enlargement TWO is done then the second PERIOD

Now the HERRINGBONE pattern is rebuilt resulting from FOUR PERIODS having been added in the TWO Enlargement

The end result of the two enlargements is this other PERFECT Herringbone-Pineapple K.

Example 2 ------------------------------------------------------
B* = 5         A = 3        Delta = 1       x = 10        Ltotal = 14
enlarged to
B* = 7         A = 3        Delta = 1       x = 16         Ltotal = 20

We start with this PERFECT Herringbone-Pineapple K.

The result of ENLARGEMENT ONE is shown here "prepared" for the  two PERIODS of the second Enlargement after the two periods oft the first Enlargement.
The first PERIOD of Enlargement TWO is done then the second PERIOD
This yields this cordage route and this coding  pattern.

Now the HERRINGBONE pattern is rebuilt resulting from FOUR PERIODS having been added in the TWO Enlargement

The end result of the two enlargements is this other PERFECT Herringbone-Pineapple K.

Now you should be able to study by yourself how to infer the way to enlarge
ANY  PERFECT HERRINGBONE-PINEAPPLE KNOT.

DO YOU FEEL YOU HAVE ENOUGH WELL ASSIMILATED
KNOWLEDGE AND/OR ANALYTICAL METHODOLOGY
to be
able to say what essentially differentiates those NESTED-BIGHT CYLINDRICAL  KNOT one from the other and also, for the more gifted, say in which "drawer" of the nomenclature they can be put.

Illustration that POSES THE QUESTION

If you had some difficulties well if you do not want to deliberately stay in ignorance it will do you good to read the topics that I accumulate on this page and the previous one and in Turkshead_28 et Turkshead_29 (I do not always give (too much work and not enough time to lose it)a  translation-adaptation in French ; in 2013, in the world of KNOTS, everyone should be able to use Basic English in the world of KNOTS.

THAT illustration and THIS ONE  give an elementary answer.

You see now why you will be better not to be following  THE SIMPLETONS GANG who "throw haphazardly" all the Nested-Bight Cylindrical Knots in the same bag: labelled with their gri-gri word :  "interweaves".

The be erring in error land is a right, but under the express condition that this be a very
temporary stage and not a fixed state as I strongly feel is their case.

QUICK ELEMENTARY REVISION : REPARTITION INTO
'TYPE' OF A 5-PASS  5-COMPONENT  5-STRAND REGULAR
NESTED-BIGHT CYLINDRICAL KNOT (RNBCK)

This new document is much less researched than the document placed in the
Turkshead_28 page (2012 Oct20th)

As it is less researched it more immediately accessible at any level knotting skills and
provides essential guidance to navigate alone thinking by yourself of course.

SOME FUN REVISION OF SERIOUS NOTIONS ( cordage
route, coding pattern, offset) ‘ a propos’ of THREE EVEN-LEAD
Turk’s Heads assembled into “””””” PINEAPPLE “”””””

(it is a .pdf file but I have had a number of those stolen in the past-by robots?- and put on
some other sites specialising in pdf so I now rename them to .fdp : after downloading the file rename it to .pdf or directly ask your .pdf reader to open it using "open with" in the contextual menu)

The document

CAN YOU CATEGORIZE THIS KNOT.

If you cannot find the appropriate nomenclature 'slot' for it they you are much in need of studying SCHAAKE& TURNER's work or patiently waitfor the topics to come in thsi page and may be the following ones.

You can access the "solution" in this document.
